ABOUT US

Born and raised with cattle and grain farming, Christy and I both have a strong work ethic. My dad and I also restored classic cars as a hobby. So we bring a very broad skill-set formed across over three decades of hands-on experience. We are casual and fun, yet when it's time to work we are all in.

People tell us they love our detailed invoices and how we keep them in the decision making process. But it's your money and your project, so we aim for simple and clear communication to help ensure people get what they want for their investment.

OUR STORY

When I met Christy, she was working with children as a special needs educator on Vancouver Island. It had always been my desire to live somewhere in British Columbia instead of Fort Qu'Appelle, Sk. so I decided to join her on the Island, doing various projects there. But as most people know, the Island changed a lot over the years, so we began taking on projects in the Kelowna area and eventually moved here

Looking back, in 1985 I began working with a very 'strict' Interprovincial Journeyman Carpenter. I worked with him for over 7 years and we remain close friends to this day. Then I spent 2 years in a cabinet shop, before starting my self-employment journey in residential and commercial painting. A lot of my painting customers were farmers and people from the city who had a place on the lakes around Fort QuAppelle, Sk. It was frustrating and costly to coordinate other trades to come out from the city, and my customers would ask "Can you do it?" So, over the years we took courses and became very proficient at several trades in an effort to serve our customers. When we began building our own spec homes, this enabled us to take out all the permits and pass all the inspections. So although not a journeyman plumber or electrician, I can do the work where permitted, and this enables me to build and renovate with a synergistic attitude that makes life a little easier for other trades people.
